Type "AI" on a phone or a computer with a Turkish keyboard, switch it to lowercase, and the screen shows aı chat. That isn't really a typo. When a Turkish keyboard lowercases a capital I, it turns it into a dotless ı. So someone searching with that word is most likely writing in Turkish, and they expect the AI they talk to to think in Turkish too.
This post chases down that little letter. Why does it show up? Does it affect your search? And the real question: can the character you chat with keep up with the way you actually type?
Why do you type "aı" instead of "ai"?
In Turkish, i and ı are two separate letters, and so are their capitals: İ and I. If you lowercase the English abbreviation AI on a device set to Turkish, the system correctly converts I to ı. Autocorrect, caps lock or copy-paste can produce the same result. In short, someone who types "aı" isn't being careless. Their device simply speaks Turkish.
Does this letter change your search results?
Usually not by much. Search engines generally match "aı chat" and "ai chat" to similar results, though rankings may vary slightly. There's something more important than the search results, though. This spelling shows that you'll bring all the quirks of a Turkish keyboard into the conversation, too.
The real issue: Can the chat handle the way you type?
Nobody writes a formal letter when texting a character. In real life, messages look like this:
- No special characters: "hows it going im so tired today"
- Abbreviations and slang: "wyd", "k", "ikr"
- Dropped endings, slipped letters: "gonna come tmrw", "teh thing is"
- Voice typing: one long sentence with messy punctuation
A good AI chat doesn't try to correct any of this. It understands you and keeps the conversation going. There's an easy way to test it. Make your first few messages deliberately sloppy. If the character gets stuck with "I couldn't understand what you mean" or turns its replies into formal correspondence, it'll wear you out in a long conversation. If it picks up your tone and replies just as casually, you're in the right place.
One more tip: the next day, briefly bring up the same topic. Just saying "remember that thing I told you yesterday" is enough. A character that remembers you knows where to pick up. With one that doesn't, you start every conversation from scratch.
How do you start an AI chat on Fanchaty?
Fanchaty is Turkey's first Turkish-language AI roleplay platform. The characters were built directly for Turkish; it's not a system with an interface translated after the fact. So whether you type "wyd" or pour out a long paragraph, the character replies with its own personality. It also remembers your previous conversations.
You don't need to give a name or a photo to get started; sign-up is anonymous. The platform is for ages 18 and up. You can browse the characters one by one on the explore page. There are both women and men. You can choose a romantic AI girlfriend or just a character to chat with. If you're curious about the romantic side, check out the AI girlfriend guide.
Chat is uncensored even with a free membership. Free accounts have a daily message allowance, while unlimited messaging comes with Premium. During a chat, the character can send you photos. Private photos appear blurred on free accounts.
Can I talk out loud instead of typing?
Characters can send you voice messages. This feature is limited on free accounts and fully available with Premium. Live voice calls, like talking on the phone, are part of Premium membership. Every character has its own voice, both sides can talk at the same time, and you can interrupt whenever you like. Details are on the Premium page.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Fanchaty runs in your browser. If you add the site to your phone's home screen, it opens like an app, so you can start chatting right away without installing anything.
In short, typing "aı" isn't a flaw. It shows you're writing in Turkish. And you have every right to expect the character you chat with to understand Turkish the way you write it.
