For People Looking for a Janitor AI Alternative
Janitor AI is an AI chat and roleplay platform where users write and share their own characters, hosting what the platform itself calls millions of community bots; its greatest strengths are catalogue breadth and the freedom to connect your own language model. Fanchaty optimises for something else: characters are not written in English and translated but authored directly in Turkish, with 230 of 401 archetypes specific to Turkey. So the question is less “which is better” than “catalogue breadth, or an experience where Turkish is spoken like a native language”.
Side by side

When Janitor AI is the better pick
- You want the character to use Turkish like a native speaker, not like a translation.
- You want the interface in Turkish too — menus, settings and checkout included.
- You want voice conversations in Turkish and to see the character's photos inside the chat.
- You want to start chatting straight away, without configuring a model, a proxy or an API key.
In short
Janitor AI leads by a wide margin: millions of community bots, what the platform itself describes as unlimited chats with millions of bots on the free tier, its own language model that needs no API key, the freedom to use the model or proxy connection you prefer, and an official mobile app released publicly in 2026. Fanchaty does not compete in these areas, and has no mobile app.
Fanchaty was built for exactly this; characters, interface and voice calling were designed around Turkish.
FAQ
What is Janitor AI?
Launched in June 2023 and operated by JanitorAI Inc., it is a chat and roleplay platform where users create and share their own AI characters. The bots in the catalogue are made by the community, and users can chat using their own language model or a proxy connection. The platform is intended for users aged 18 and over.
Does Janitor AI support Turkish?
Interface translation opened up to 11 languages on 22 June 2026, and Turkish is not on the announced list (German, English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese). The same announcement notes that translation currently covers the interface only, and that translating character and scenario text is a harder, later stage. You can write to a bot in Turkish, but Turkish is not offered as a ready-made experience.
Is Janitor AI free?
It has a free tier. The help centre states that a free option will always be kept available for everyone, and describes the free tier as unlimited chats with millions of bots. Alongside it there is a paid subscription called janitor+. If you connect your own API key, that provider's own charges apply. For current terms and any usage limits, check the platform's own pages.
What is the difference between Fanchaty and Janitor AI?
Janitor AI is built on a community catalogue: bot text is written by users and, according to the platform's own announcement, that text is not translated yet. Its strengths are choice and model freedom. Fanchaty is an independent platform built for Turkish: characters are authored directly in Turkish rather than translated, and real Turkish voice calls plus every character's hundreds of photos come with Premium.
Does Janitor AI work in Turkey?
The platform's age verification announcement covered Australia, Brazil and the UK; Turkey is not on that list, and no Turkey-specific restriction has been announced. Turkish is not among the announced interface languages. Because access conditions change with national legislation, the platform's own announcement page is the most current source.
